Oven Roasted Chinese Ribs
Everybody loves Chinese restaurant “BBQ” ribs. These delicious Chinese spare ribs are slowly cooked in a slow oven, until they reach tender, caramelized, sticky perfection.
INGREDIENTS
3 lb. rack of pork spare ribs
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Marinade:
4 tablespoons light soy sauce (or use a gluten-free alternative and add salt as needed)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Topping:
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Direction:
Step 1: Mix together the marinade ingredients and ribs in a large bowl. Cover and keep in refrigerator for overnight.
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum paper. Place the ribs on the baking sheet, bone side down. Lightly spray them with oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover the ribs tightly with aluminum paper. Bake the ribs, covered, for 1 hours
Step 3: Uncover the ribs and let it bake for another hour. Turn the ribs once. Turn the oven to 400 degree and bake for another 15 minutes till the ribs are golden brown.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve.
