Sesame Crisps
Is it a cookie? Is it a cracker? hard to say. These homemade crispy, crunchy sesame crisps are found all over Asia, and they’re perfect with a cup of coffee or tea!
Ingredients
6 tablespoons butter
⅔ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅝ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
4 teaspoons sesame seeds
Direction:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 2 cookie sheets. In a medium bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, mix well. Sift together the flour, salt, sesame seeds, and baking powder; stir into the creamed mixture.
Step 2: Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart. Bake for 8 minutes in the preheated oven, cookies should be light brown and set. Let cookies cool for 1 minute on cookie sheets before removing to cool on wire racks.
