Egg Ham Vegetable Chow Mein
Chinese chow mein noodles tossed in an authentic savory sauce. The noodles are stir-fried with egg, ham and bok choy for a flavorful dish. Tastes just like Chinese take out except it takes just minutes to whip up and tastes a million times better!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon sesame/peanut oil
8 oz Ham sliced
1 small onion , sliced
1 whole bok choy, sliced
2 eggs
2 teaspoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
12 oz Chinese noodles or any of your favorite noodles (cook according to instruction on the package)
Direction:
Step 1: Cook the noodles as the label directs, then drain and rinse under cold water. Heat a large nonstick skillet over high heat. Add 3 teaspoon oil, scramble the two eggs. Then add the ham and stir-fry until lightly browned, about 1 minutes. Then add the onion and bok choy, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
Step 2: Mix together 2 teaspoons minced garlic, 3 tablespoons oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and 3 tablespoons of water in a bowl. Add noodles with sauce to the pan and simmer stirring occasionally for 2 – 3 minutes.
Mix in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and serve.
