Calamari or squid, raw
1 lb squid hoods, cleaned
fresh green chili 1 whole thinly sliced
fresh red chili 1 whole, thinly sliced
garlic 2 clove(s), crushed
oyster sauce 2 tablespoons
1 stalk green onion
Direction:
Step 1: Cut squid hoods down the centre to open out. Use a sharp knife to lightly score a diagonal pattern on the inside of each squid. Cut squid into thick strips. Heat half pot of water in a wok over high heat. Boil squid in batches, for 1–2 minutes until just cooked through. (The squid rolls up) Transfer to a plate.
( Squid that is already cut and prepared can be found in store at the frozen seafood section).
